Information in your learning account

My name is incorrect in my learning account. What should I do?

If you are still a senior secondary student, tell your school. The Senior Learning Information Management System (SLIMS) administrative officer at your school will be able to update the information so that it appears correctly in your learning account.

If you have left school, you can edit your personal details yourself (after 31 January in the year after you completed Year 12) or ask your main learning provider to make the appropriate changes.

Some enrolment/results information is missing / incorrect. What should I do?

Contact the relevant learning provider — your school for Authority, Authority-registered subjects and school-based Vocational Education and Training (VET) certificates and TAFE or private providers for VET or recognised studies undertaken outside of school. Give the learning provider your LUI, tell them what learning you think is missing or incorrect and confirm that an error has been made.

If an error has been made, the learning provider will need to amend your learning account and advise QCAA of the error. If you have completed Year 12 and the error had an impact on the certificates and statements you received, new documents will be printed and sent to you.

Certificates, statements and results, including OPs and FPs

How do I get a copy of my Senior Statement, QCE, Tertiary Entrance Statement reissued?

Follow the instructions on the QCAA website to order a replacement Queensland-issued certificate or statement. You will need to complete the application form. The cost per certified copy is $28.80.

How can I get copies of my VET certificates reissued?

To receive a certified copy of the VET qualification/s you completed while at school, contact the relevant learning provider (i.e. TAFE Queensland, private provider or your school).

How can I find out my results/OP?

If you completed Year 12 in 2008 or after, you will be able to access your OP and Field Positions (FPs) by logging into your learning account. If you completed Year 12 prior to 2008, you will need to request a reissue of your SEP.

I have a question about the results in my learning account. Who can I talk to?

The QCAA can provide general advice about the results recorded in your learning account or on any of the certificates or statements issued by QCAA.

If any of your results are missing or incorrect in your learning account, you should contact the relevant learning provider — your school for Authority, Authority-registered subjects and school-based Vocational Education and Training (VET) certificates and TAFE or private providers for VET or recognised studies undertaken outside of school. Give the learning provider your LUI, tell them what learning you think is missing or incorrect and confirm that an error has been made.

Tertiary ranks

How can I find out my Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)?

If you were OP-eligible, your OP (which can range from 1 to 25) can be converted to an ATAR (which is reported on the 99-scale). Follow the instructions on the QCAA website, to apply for an ATAR statement.

How do I find out my Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) tertiary selection rank?

To find out your QTAC tertiary selection rank, phone QTAC on 1300 467 822. QTAC tertiary selection ranks include:

  • QTAC OP-ineligible rank (based on 20 semesters of Authority, Authority-registered, and VET modules)
  • Completed VET qualifications, such as Certificate III, IV, Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas
  • Completed higher order Music, Dancing, and Speech and Drama qualifications.

QCE pathway planning / QCE eligibility

I need help with my QCE pathway planning. Who can I talk to?

Your school guidance officer or head of senior schooling can provide advice about the different learning pathways available at your school.

How can I get my QCE after Year 12?

To earn credits towards your QCE after you’ve left school and/or meet the completed Core requirement, you can choose from a range of VET Certificate II–IV qualifications offered by TAFE Queensland and other providers.

You can meet the literacy and numeracy requirements by:

  • completing the QCAA-approved short courses in literacy and numeracy offered by Charters Towers School of Distance Education. For more information, visit https://chartowesde.eq.edu.au
  • completing a Certificate I in Literacy, Certificate I in Numeracy or Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocation Pathways (which covers both the literacy and numeracy requirements) at a Registered Training Organisation. Visit www.training.gov.au for details
  • sitting the QCS Test in September as a private-entry candidate and achieving at least a C on the test.

Remember to give your new learning provider your LUI when you enrol, so they can bank the credits you earn into your learning account on the Student Connect website. Once you’ve met the requirements for a QCE, the QCAA will send your QCE and a Statement of Results to you in the following July or December.

I wasn’t eligible for a QCE at the end of Year 12. How do I find out if I am eligible for one now?

Log into your learning account and go to the Enrolment and Results tab. This will show you the learning and credits you have received and whether or not you are now eligible for a QCE. Do not use the QCE Planner tab in your learning account because this assumes you successfully completed all the learning options you enrolled in.

If you have met all the QCE-eligibility requirements, you will be issued with a non-school Senior Education Profile (SEP) in the next certification issue: July or December.
